The Swedish Association for Hand Rehabilitation is an organization for registered OTs, registered PTs and other professionals working within the field of Hand Rehabilitation. The purpose of the Swedish Association for Hand Rehabilitation is to:

- Work for exchange of knowledge between all professionals working with Hand Rehabilitation
- Work for qualified further education for OTs and PTs working with Hand Rehabilitation
- Work for development of methods and research within the field of Hand Rehabilitation - Spread knowledge about Hand Rehabilitation
- Work for international exchange

Reg OTs, reg PTs and other professionals working with Hand Rehabilitation can become members. Membership is applied for at the Board and after having paid the annual fee and an entrance fee you can be registered as a member. Commercial membership is offered companies or private persons who want to support the organization. The Board of SFH leads the activities, administers the assets, announces annual meetings and update members list. The Board shall consist of both OTs and PTs.
